The Guinness Design Guide Extra Care Supplement, published in May 2022, is intended to enhance the main Guinness Design Guide, specifically addressing the Guinness Extra Care housing model, which typically provides schemes comprising self-contained apartments for those over the age of 55 with additional communal facilities and flexible on-site care and support services.

The Supplement, written, edited and designed by the Knowledge Hub and communications group at Pollard Thomas Edwards, provides design principles to be used during the development of design solutions and during consultation processes.
