St Pauls Way Trust School and Burdett Estate Regeneration Project has been granted planning permission. Pollard Thomas Edwards was originally commissioned by Poplar HARCA to carry out a feasibility study for a new primary school combined with mixed tenure homes on a site in Mile End, East London. The site is part of the Burdett and Leopold Estate and is currently occupied by two residential blocks, a community centre and a mosque. The scheme will create two forms of entry primary schools, a new Mosque, 109 mixed tenure homes, and children’s and public amenity space. It will be the first mixed use school scheme in Tower Hamlets, and PTE’s first mosque.
